Event accessibility
Non-racing wheelchair users are welcome to take part in the Brighton Marathon. However, the race organisers currently do not offer elite wheelchair races or allow self-propelled racing wheelchairs.
If you wish to enter in a non-racing wheelchair, you will start at the rear of the race due to health and safety reasons associated with the course terrain and density of runners in parts of the route.
The race organisers also strongly advise being accompanied by an non-disabled runner during the marathon, however you can take part independently if you wish - the event organisers can offer support finding a support runner if needed.
For more information about event accessibility, please contact the Brighton Marathon team.
